Audience:	Psychologists, counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, adoption placement agencies, caseworkers and other mental health professionals and human service professionals that recruit and train pre-adoptive and post-adoptive parents.
Description:	This Web Briefing describes current changes and issues in transracial adoption and adjustment outcomes for these children; biological factors and environments associated with the adjustment of transracial adoptions; and family lifecycle issues.
Learning Objectives:	Participants will be able to describe the changes in adoption practices over the past four decades and how these changes create new needs for clinical help Participants will be able to identify three different regulatory sources governing transracial placements and the impact on parents of the conflicting policies among them Participants will be able to summarize at least two outcome studies regarding transracial adoption Participants will be able to state at least four key practice principles in transracial adoption
