FACULTY MEMBER BACKGROUND

Father Tom Brosnan

Reverend Tom Brosnan is a Roman Catholic priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. As an infant he was adopted through the closed adoption system. In 1985, at age thirty-two, he searched and found his birth parents. His mother, now deceased, lived in Baltimore; his father resides in Canada. Father Brosnan has presented on the unjust nature of closed adoption and the fundamental right of all adults to access their original birth records. Father Brosnan currently serves as an Ethics Committee member of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute.
