Dr. Joseph Crumbley
Dr. Crumbley received his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. He is in private practice as a consultant and family therapist. His areas of specialization include pre and post adoptive therapy, chemical dependancy, physical and sexual abuse. His most recent areas of concentration have been kinship care and transracial adoptions. In the area of transracial adoptions, he has been a consultant to Los Angeles County Children and Youth Services, the New Jersey Adoption Resource Centers, The Black Adoption Consortium and the Pennsylvania Legislative Task Force on the Multi-Ethnic Placement Act. In the area of kinship care, he has been a consultant to the Los Angeles Kinship Care Program, the Child Welfare Institute, the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA), the Spaulding Center and the Philadelphia Societyıs Kinship Care Program. He is also a published author and has completed a series of audio-visual training tapes on transracial adoptions for parents and professionals.
