Gloria King
Ms. King, M.S., is the Executive Director of the Black Adoption Placement and Research Center (BAPRC), and has a full background of clinical, administrative and counseling experience. She has successfully collaborated with public and private child welfare agencies to advocate and secure permanent homes for children with special needs, as well as making presentations and conducting training at local, state and national conferences. She is frequently on local and national television and radio broadcasts, including an appearance on the Jim Lehrer Show. In 1998 Ms. King began to produce and host a weekly cable television show, called "Adoption Today," which is aimed at demystifying the adoption process and highlighting available children. She was recently acknowledged by the African American Entrustment Organization as one of the 50 portraits of success.
