Betty Jean Lifton
Ms. Lifton, Ph.D., is an author and psychologist, and has an adoption counseling practice with all members of the triad in New York City. Her adoption books include: Twice Born: Memoirs of An Adopted Daughter; Lost and Found: The Adoption Experience; Journey of the Adopted Self: A Quest For Wholeness, and the picture book Tell Me a Real Adoption Story. Dr. Lifton is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, and a former board member of the American Adoption Congress.
